Client brief
to update the look of the lighting to match the planned renovation of the executive suite and complement a sleek, modern interior. The client wished to incorporate LED and new technology solutions to minimise maintenance and running costs and to 'future-proof' the installation so that it wouldn't look outdated for several years. The executive suite is planned to be be multi-use and different lighting settings - or scenes - required, including generating an impact with some ‘wow-factor’ solutions. The complexity and scale of the renovation meant that several design consultants and contractors were working in parallel and good communications were essential for getting the lighting requirements right. Creative ideas were required to manage around some of the restrictions of the spaces and for plant growth in areas with low levels of natural daylight.
What the client said
We were under some time pressure for this lighting design; Light My Space were very responsive from the first client meeting right through to the successsful conclusion of the project. Part way through we had a budget reduction which required changes but Light My Space were quick to propose alternatives which still delivered on the client brief and achieved a professional finish, which both looked good and gave us the scene functionality we needed.
